A Life Shaped by Adventure and Art

Scott's passion for exploration, storytelling, and stewardship has led him to create timeless images that inspire and connect.

The Early Journey

Scott’s artistic path began as a professional athlete, exploring the world’s wild places through climbing, skiing, and adventure. Immersed in nature’s raw beauty, he developed a deep appreciation for landscapes and the stories they hold. Over time, his passion for the outdoors evolved into a calling—to capture and share these moments through photography.

Artistic Evolution

From documenting his own adventures to shooting for some of the world’s most respected outdoor brands, Scott’s photography has grown into a diverse body of work. His expertise spans commercial projects, adventure photography, and fine art, blending technical precision with an artist’s eye for light, movement, and storytelling. Today, his work is featured in brand campaigns, editorial features, and gallery collections, each image a reflection of his deep connection to the landscapes he explores.

Philosophy & Vision

Scott’s work is rooted in a reverence for the natural world and a belief in its power to inspire and transform. Through his photography, he invites others to see landscapes not just as scenery, but as sacred spaces worth preserving. His images are a call to adventure—and a call to stewardship—reminding us of our responsibility to protect the places that move us.

A Gift and A Calling

A series of very fortunate events has led to this place. I wake up in the morning with a smile and a song to share with my family. I go to my studio, my gallery, or my home in the mountains and I create and share the beauty of this spectacular planet on which we rely for our very existence. The more I understand my craft, the human condition and the energy of the universe, the less I see clear delineations in artistic genres, athletic pursuits and the boundaries of conventional life paths. I seek to be a diverse artist, athlete, craftsman, entrepreneur, father, member of my community, advocate for all people and our Mother Earth.

I find amazement in the cyclical nature of all things. I grieve for my friends and family who have been lost to disease, accidents, avalanches. There are certain trees which will break my heart when they fall. I bubble over with joy for the new energy that my children and all of the young creatures of the earth bring. I take to the forest every spring with a renewed sense of wonder for the rebirth of the world, which comes with the regularity of the sun.

In many ways it is a dark time. We live in an information environment which profits from our divisions, our fears, our rage. To keep us stimulated is to keep us captive. To keep us captive is to keep us profitable to forces far beyond our reckoning, at the expense of our wellness, and the very health of our planet. In a time when there has never been a greater need for collective energy toward a more giving and understanding approach to each other and our home planet, we’re being told that our tribe, our bank accounts, our borders are all that matter.

In our hearts, we know this isn’t so.

And so, I trust the cycles. I know that this fraught moment shall pass. I know that there is more good and love and understanding in the universe than there is hate and destruction. I trust that nature is a patient but persistent teacher, and that we may miss the lessons in the short term, but we’ll learn them in the end. In time, all will be revealed. There is a togetherness that will come with recognizing, cherishing, and finding ways to reciprocate the gift of our time on this beautiful earth. We can be an inspiration, and we can be inspired. We can share the best versions of ourselves. We can rise together. My work seeks to celebrate the beauty that surrounds us every hour of every day, lest we take it for granted.

With love, and gratitude, I invite you to celebrate with me.

CLIENTS

Just the beginning...

"Adventure and photography gave me a path. A way to realize the most ‘me’ version of myself. Partnering with my wife and raising our children has given me a purpose. I now understand, beyond the academic sense of the idea, that our lives are in service to future generations. That we are but a stepping stone in an unending path. It is my honor to give as much of my time as I can to my children, at our home in the forest and our playgrounds in the mountains, as they learn to love, explore, push boundaries, and create a world fit for the generations to come."

Every photograph tells a story—but it also carries a responsibility.

Scott’s work is not just about capturing the beauty of wild places, but protecting them for future generations.
